Tamar Miller
Program Developer
Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Tamar has been living, studying and working in Toronto since 2007. Tamar is an art therapist who specializes in working with children and families. Currently an art therapist at the Etobicoke Children's Centre, and a group facilitator at Jewish Family & Child Services, much of Tamar's work focuses on using therapeutic techniques to foster resilience, self-expression, and emotional awareness. Growing up in the Jewish Youth Movement, Hashomer Hatzair, from a young age Tamar developed a strong connection between her Jewish values and identity and her passion for helping others. Today she is excited to be part of the Divorce Through a Jewish Lens team, which allows her to bring together her beliefs in the power of both Judaism and a therapeutic approach to working through life's transitions and challenges.
