Devorah has been working since 2010 to connect Jewish families of divorce with the resources they need whether by way of referral, advocacy or the institution of innovative community based infrastructure. She has become a respected consultant on matters related to divorce and supporting families throughout this transition within the Toronto Jewish community. She is grateful to have received the endorsement of several prominent rabbis for her efforts within the Orthodox Jewish community, where much of her work is centralized.

 

Devorah currently works in private practice as am accredited family mediator and divorce coach. Having experienced divorce and single parenthood herself, she understands the needs, fears and overwhelm of the individuals with whom she works. Her professional style has been described as warm, empathetic and pragmatic, offering a calming presence as she assists clients in mapping out their next steps through the divorce process. Devorah brings a child focused approach to her work, helping clients to make decisions that are consistent with the best interests of their children while ensuring that their own self-care is prioritized as well. The most rewarding part of her work is helping co-parents realize that even once a marriage has dissolved, shalom bayit (peace in the home) is still attainable.
