Aaron Rotenberg

Jewish Studies Advisor

Aaron serves as the Spiritual Leader of Annex Shul, an egalitarian, multi-denominational community in downtown Toronto for people from all walks of life to explore their Jewish identity and experience Judaism through prayer, education, and community. A native of Thornhill, Aaron completed a joint bachelor’s degree program at List College through the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University. After New York, Aaron spent 2.5 years living in Israel, studying at Midreshet Ein Prat, living and working in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as well as spending a summer as a fellow at Yeshivat Hadar in 2012. Aaron was a co-founder of The Orchard, a Jewish Intentional home in the Annex, and he has served as a board member of the Young Leadership Council of the International Council of Christians and Jews. Aaron was named as one of the 24 Jews Who Are Changing the World by the Canadian Jewish News in 2015.
