Over 40% of today’s Jewish marriages end in divorce.
Family, friends, synagogues, schools, camps, workplaces, social organizations--the list goes on..
Divorce affects every Jew from every branch of Judaism
For many, divorce can be uncomfortable, often considered to be a "Shonda" (shame).
As a community, it is time to create an open forum
Family members, friends, staff at Jewish organizations, all have the goal to be supportive.
Addressing the needs of divorced families at the highest level possible is a necessity
Divorce Through a Jewish Lens strives to create a space to discuss how we can best support
our families experiencing this challenging life transition.
